Hmm . . . I love being retired.
Staying busy and having fun. I can do more with my time though and I'm just not sure what that it. Is it working? Is it volunteering? Is it a hobby? Is it exercising, learning to paint, play an instrument or learning Spanish? I want to do all of these things. How will I know when it's right? Maybe I won't. Maybe I start somewhere and see what happens?
We had Thanksgiving dinner today with Brian, Seth, Betty, Mom and Ross today. I must say, the food turned out pretty good. It was a plus. Seth was such a help in the kitchen. Such a good boy. Brian was quiet and while I would have wished for different interaction between he and Seth. Seth seemed to enjoy the afternoon.
Oscar took one of Brian's motorcycle gloves and ran out the door. It didn't take Brian long to go after him.
And . . . Denver won their game tonight. Myron is so happy.
Later.
P.S. Not sure if this is blogging or writing something of a diary. Perhaps, a hybrid of sorts.

Myron's Birthday 2013
November 16, 2013
Myron turned 65. Talking with him before his birthday, he said it was not a big deal. No need for fanfare and he seemed fine. However, as it the big day got closer, it was a bigger deal to him and he said it was. He mentioned Medicare several times.
We went out for dinner at Stella's with Betty, Mom, Ross, Denise and Steven. We also celebrated Steven's birthday which was earlier in the week. it was a nice evening. Ross and Mom treated. Always so generous.
No pics loaded yet but I'll get them.
Happy Birthday Myron. I love you.

Seriously! I am awful at this but I'll keep trying. Information missing in my blog can be found in my check register and on our yearly calendar;0)
Taking cues from my last post which was in 2012; Mom and Ross have now been in SLC for almost 2 years. They are doing well. Sometimes Ross struggles with health related issues and I believe that obviously makes their time less pleasant but they've adjusted well. A normal day for them includes getting up early, getting dressed, going out for lunch, running errands and then heading for home. They are always up for whatever anyone asks them to do i.e., tending Oscar, going out for breakfast early with family, running errands and helping to take car of Dave's truck "Old Blue."
This past January Myron and I went to Cabo. It was lovely but it was no Mazatlan. Food and drinks were pretty expensive but lovely. We didn't have a bad meal. One day we walked until I had blisters on my feet and this lovely Mexican man in a grocery store, helped me take care of my feet. It was a lovely gesture; one I will never forget.
In February, Myron and I were sitting and having coffee. It was cold, the trailer was iced in the driveway, and we were feeling a little bit isolated. One thing lead to another and here we are in St. George this week. We sold our large home on Camino Place, and bought two small ones. We bought a condo in SLC at Waterbury and a home in St. George at Sun River. We anticipate spending a week to ten days in St. George a month. Sun River is fun with a capital F. We are learning to play Pickleball, we are playing much more golf, going to dances and taking other classes when we down here. We have met a lot of nice people and have been made to feel especially welcome by our neighbors Art and Ginger.
Currently, we are trying to plan a trip to Las Vegas with Denise and Steven. We are waiting to hear whether or not Steven can schedule time off at work. He now has a new job, and currently has custody of Trevyn, living in an apartment until the lease expires in January, when the boys will return home. This has been a time of adjustment.
Oscar just had a birthday, October 20th. He is four years old and is still a delinquent. We've tried hard and now we believe, this is just how it is going to be. His biggest challenge is being too friendly to people! He likes the Dog Park in Sun River.
I no longer work for UCCR. I handed in my resignation following the Annual Symposium. It was just too difficult and frustrating. Recently, I applied for a reservationist position with Jet Blue. Everything was on-line, including interview. After understanding the details, I decided that it just wasn't for me and withdrew my application and didn't attend the second interview which would have been held in person.
I could go on and on today but instead, I'm going to get ready to read a little bit and then get ready to play golf.
Photos in no particular order, just random.
A photo from a trip to San Diego with Denise, Marcus and Mom. Soooo much fun!
In no order, a photo from Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta.
